John Gard's Bill Clinton moment

Do you think John Gard fancies himself on the road to the White House? In a bizarre press release, John Gard tells us all of the moment he shook President Ronald Reagan's hand at the White House with an almost romance novel like style complete with breathless moments. How desperate is a campaign for news when they put out a release about the candidate's daydreams? After reading this, you can almost see Gard sitting at his desk today drawing little hearts around President Reagan's name and fantasizing about some kid in the future writing a release about him just like this.

And he brings up the government is the problem thing. Mr. Gard, YOU ARE THE GOVERNMENT!! Not only have you been there for almost two decades, you are in charge of an entire house of the legislature. Not to mention, your run for Congress pretty much solidifies you as being the definition of a career politician.

I read that story from old two-faced as well. Why are you wasting time criticing this. A) Everyone knows John Guard says one thing and does the opposite. How long has be giving the whole tax rant. What has he actually done to lower taxes? Other than complain after he stonewalls and corrupts tax friendly legislation I know of nothing. When he sat on the joint finance committee he was to busy sucking up to Jensen, Foti, and Chuvala to oppose any of the corruption taking place. Then after he was selected by Jensen to take over he has only passed legislation which sounds nice for the Republican base but the details are so bad he knows the governor can't honestly sign off on any of it. The one thing he learned from the current trials is that rathre than stay and make to many enimy's he should cash in all his favors and move to bigger town further away from his district where it will be that much harder to keep tabs on him. B) John Gaurd has never had job besides spending taxpayers money. He went to school to become a politician, what else is he going to do? What other job can you have if your only skills are being deicitfull and physically threatning handicaped senior citizens that show up at debates and critisize you. (Speaking of debates why is old two-faced the only candidate afraid to show up for debates in the 7th district?

So the question is are there enough idiots up her in north East Wisconsin who will blindly vote Republican, or are enough peole tired of John Guard that he will have to sell the house in Peshtigo he doesn't live in and stay in Madison full time as a lobyest?

I just attended a campaign forum for the 8th district congressional race. All the candidates were there including John Gard. Each candiadte asked what he or she would do to fix America if elected. John Gard refused to even acknowledge there were things that needed changed to make America better. It was apparent he was in lockstep with his patrons inthe Bush Administration. We don't need someone in Congress who buries his head in the Sand.

Is this evidence of Gard's involvement with the seedier side of the GOP?
October 11, 2006 -- Yesterday, WMR reported on the contributions from Dennis Hastert's political action committee -- KOMPAC -- [which paid Hastert's Chief of Staff Scott Palmer for services] -- to several GOP House members and candidates' campaign coffers. FEC records also show that another closeted gay GOP Representative's PAC made contributions to many of the same Republican candidates who received support from KOMPAC. Apparently, the GOP's "Velvet Mafia" has done a very good job of spreading around its "hush money" to GOP House members and candidates.

The GOP candidates who received funds from the closeted gay Republican's PAC are: Alexander (LA) [whose sponsored page received the suggestive emails from Mark Foley], Bachmann (MN), Bilbray (CA), Bilirakis (FL), Blasdel (OH), Burns (GA), Cannon (UT), Chabot (OH), Chocola (IN), Davis (KY), Drake (VA), Fitzpatrick (PA), Fortenberry (NE), Frelinghuysen (NJ), Gerlach (PA), Hayes (NC), Kline (MN), Kuhl (NY), Lamberti (IA), McSweeney (IL), Meier (NY), Norman (SC), Northup (KY), O'Donnell (CO), Pence (IN), Platts (PA), Porter (NV), Regula (OH), Rehberg (MT), Reichert (WA), Renzi (WA), Romero (LA), Roskam (IL), Roulstone (WA), Sali (ID), Shaw (FL), Sherwood (PA), Sodrel (IN), Sweeney (NY), Taylor (TX), Tipton (CO), Wakim (WV), Weldon (PA), Whalen (IA). [Those who also accepted contributions from Hastert's KOMPAC are in bold print].

It is noteworthy that Heather Wilson, a former House Page Board member, and John Culberson of Texas returned the California congressman's PAC donations.

Closeted gay GOP congressman from California has spread campaign funds to a number of GOP House members and candidates. Most recipients also received money from Hastert's PAC.

It is also significant that House Page Board chairman John Shimkus's "John S Fund" also made contributions to the many of the House members and candidates who received funds from KOMPAC and the gay California congressman's PAC. They are: Alexander (LA), Bachmann (MN), Bilbray (CA), Bilirakis (FL), Blasdel (OH), Boustany (LA), Chabot (OH), Chocola (IN), Davis (KY), DeLay (TX), Drake (VA), Fitzpatrick (PA), Foltin (OH), Foxx (NC), Gard (WI), Gerlach (PA), Hayes (NC), McSweeney (IL), Meier (NY), O'Donnell (CO), Pombo (CA), Porter (NV), Rainville (VT), Reichert (WA), Roskam (IL), Shaw (FL), Simmons (CT), Sodrel (IN), Sweeney (NY), Weller (IL), Whalen (IA), Wilson (NM), Zinga (IL).

An examination of New York GOP Representative Tom Reynolds' PAC (TOMPAC) -- reveals that many of the House members who accepted money from the gay California congressman, Shimkus, and Hastert also received money from TOMPAC: Bachmann, Michele Marie (R-MN) $10,000; Bass, Charles (R-NH) $5,000' Bilbray, Brian P (R-CA) $15,000; Bilirakis, Gus (R-FL) $5,000; Bilirakis, Michael (R-FL) $5,000; Blasdel, Chuck (R-OH) $10,000; Bono, Mary (R-CA) $5,000; Boozman, John (R-AR) $5,000; Boustany, Charles W Jr (R-LA) $5,000; Bradley, Jeb (R-NH) $5,000; Brown-Waite, Ginny (R-FL) $5,000; Burns, Max (R-GA) $10,000; Campbell, John (R-CA) $10,000; Cannon, Chris (R-UT) $5,000; Capito, Shelley Moore (R-WV) $10,000; Chabot, Steve (R-OH) $10,000;

Lots of GOP cash changed hands among the principals in Pagegate scandal. Was it "hush money?"

Kelly, Wilson, and Capito have been members of the House Page Board. Kirk Fordham, the ex-Chief of Staff to Foley and Reynolds, was questioned by FBI agents yesterday in the Pagegate scandal.

Foley's Florida Republican Leadership PAC donated money to: Florida GOP gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist (who reportedly was Foley's Tallahassee roommate when they both served in the Florida state legislature); George Allen (VA), Calder Clay (GA), State Legislature candidate Angelo Cappelli (FL), Bob Ney (OH), Geoff Davis in Kentucky, Nancy Johnson (CT), Jim Gerlach (PA), Mac Collins (GA), Norm Coleman (MN), Deborah Pryce (OH), Clay Shaw (FL), State Legislature candidate Stan Mayfield (FL), Vern Buchanan (FL), Curt Weldon (PA).

TOMPAC also made contributions to Sen. George Allen (R-VA) ($5000); Rick Santorum (R-PA) ($10,000), and Jim Talent (R-MO) ($5,000). WMR has learned that current and former senior staff members of the three Senators have been identified as members of the closeted gay GOP "Velvet Mafia."
