Doyle's Gas Price Baloney
People are upset over the high price of gasoline.
Doyle's advisors read the polling and encourage their guy to "do something!"
So, he drives/flies to Brookfield and holds a press conference, calling for a cap on oil company profits.
There, he 'did something.'
That's right up there with putting a "Free Tibet" bumper sticker on his official state car and telling the Dalai Lama he's 'done something.'
That's Baloney, Man.

Fact is, even Governor Doyle, with the backing of the Tribes, the teachers' union and the trial lawyers, can't impact the global energy market.
But he can pose for holy pictures.

Yep; Craps did something all right by schlepping all the way to Brookfield instead of finding a gas station near either the governor's mansion or the Capitol building - he enriched the very pockets he wants to pick.
BTW, welcome back, Baloney Man. We sure could've used you last week over in the Assembly.
Hey, how are those ethanol bills doing in the legislature?
The Governor never got a chance to sign on did he?
If only we could drive our cars on all of the hot air coming out of the legislature!
I just love it when Baloney Man resurfaces...he is a pretty busy guy nowdays.
Governor drives in an E-85 vehicle, supporting wisconsin farmers instead of middle east regimes.
What has Mark Green done? Oh yeah, he voted last week to make sure that big oil keeps their tax breaks. I guess over $8 billion in profits for Exxon in a quarter are just not enough for Mark Green. Maybe if we give them millions more they will do some more exploration that will bring new pumps online so our prices will go down in ten years.
Bob, you mean he supports Brazilian farmers; we're importing half our corn-a-hole (or should I say sugar-hole, since that's what Brazilian ethanol is made from). Also, do you know what makes up that other 15% of E85 gasoline (hint, I bolded the answer for you)?
Say, did you know that Brazil is working on getting a nuclear bomb covertly? Sure, the Brazilians aren't chanting, "Death to America" in the streets on a weekly basis, but their renewed nuclear effort comes in violation of the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty they're a party to.
