Better Late than Never
Walker Steps up on Holloway Matter

Although delivered at last night's lightly attended CRG meeting at Serb Hall, a letter from Scott Walker is a positive development nonetheless.
While I regret that I am not able to join you tonight, I do have a reregister for you.

Call your County Board Supervisor at 414-278-4222.

Ask him or her to support adequate funding for the Ethics Board to continue their work.

...

Ask your member of the County Board to support funding for the Ethics Board at a level no lower than $50,000.
It may be slightly more than a half-measure which wasn't widely disseminated, but it beats the relative silence from Walker on this matter so far.

This means all four components I believe are necessary to have this case move forward are more or less in place. The vote is this morning.

Check back later for more details.

What do you think Scott's reasons are for being relatively quiet on this are? Seems unlike him....

Maybe because he understands that he dodged a bullet on Bear Stearns, If someone were to file a complaint with the ethics folks, they'd have a hard time not going nuts on him like they did Holloway.

Anytime someone has a beef with an official they can file a complaint, how will the board explain not going back to the beginning of time in every case??

I am sure Fraley would agree that there should be a thorough investigation of Walker and his Bean Stearns friends -- if only to clear the air and clear Scott's goog name

it's funny how some County Supervisors aren't returning phone calls and emails on this subject, since Monday........I hope Supervisor White's email is working...LOL

Perhaps Scott has been busy trying to put a budget together. Maybe he knows that he will need to work with Supervisors to get it passed. He has never shied away from giving his opinion on the issue.

Just because he isn't on the court house steps asking for Holloway to be arrested doesn't mean he isn't doing things behind the scenes.
