Reynolds Backs Off; Will Vote for Choice Compromise

Mark Belling and WisPolitics are reporting Tom Reynolds will vote for the School Choice compromise.

As predicted by yours truly, Reynolds changed his mind from his earlier position after Leah Vukmir announced she'd challenge Reynolds if he caved on School Choice.

This was all entirely predictable.

Which begs the question...Why did Reynolds publicly waver in the first place, stating three different reasons why he was against the compromise?

Your guess is as good as mine.

Debate on the Senate floor continues...

Leah had nothing to do with Reynold's backing off. She has little or no support in Tosa cause her opposition to the plan to saved Tosa schools that Tom got passed. Tom would roll over West Allis 2-1 and also in Milwaukee.
She has not done her homework and has been practically invisible.

Dohnal - that plan to save Tosa schools is/was a farce and a bad deal for taxpayers.

It would have allowed schools to use their reserve funds intended for capital improvements (which would have been voted on in a referendum) on "miscellaneous" expenditures when times were tight. If that fund were to get tapped, then they would have been allowed to backfill without referendum.

And Milwaukee; all 10 wards that go invariably Democratic especially since Kerry and LCV spent $100,000 which had the effect of locking those votes up for no less than 2 subsequent cycles?

I live in the district and I haven't seen you, er, I mean, Tom, at my door... and I've had several pleasant conversations with David Cullen who stops by regularly; we never agree, but at least he comes by to say high.

Let's change "high" to "hello"; sorry for the bad grammar ;)
