The Lautenschlager-Falk difference
I always say that campaigns are about drawing distinctions between candidates.
We've all been waiting to hear the differences between the Democratic candidates for attorney general, and now Peg Lautenschlager has finally drawn the distinction between herself and Kathleen Falk:
Lautenschlager has been a Dem Party member longer.
And you thought we weren't going to have a substantive debate at the state convention in LaCrosse this weekend? The only people who would care if you ever belonged to the party will be there, and voting in a straw poll, which is the only possible explanation for Lautenschlager's petty attack.
Elsewhere, voters might think that being a non-member shows you have good sense. I don't think I'd put it in a television ad. (Free advice to Peg.)
I hope Peg didn't spend a lot of money on that opposition research package, if that is all it produced.
If you don't see me in LaCrosse Friday night, start the convention without me.

It's good that you're not going. Since the Zarqawi news will make it a rather somber affair.
I know how your team prefers the Iraq news to be bad.
If you think Democrats were cheering Zarqawi on, your worldview is truly warped, like Ann Coulter-warped.
Oh, that's right, you guys have been rooting for success in Iraq. I'll have to back and check the posts on that one.
Well it will certainly be interesting to see which candidate for attorney general outliberals the other. The other thing, while Kathleen Falk is on the stage, she ought to ask Jim Doyle why he abandoned her. Story on the square is that Falk is pretty upset about how Doyle encouraged her to run and has now abandoned her. Can you blame him? I mean, how many times as Peg Lautenschalger filed a lawsuit against a governing entity? With all this under the table fundraising going on around here, Jim Doyle has to be worried.
I just love it when the Neo Crybabies play the Democrats want the war to go poorly to get even with Bush card. Sometimes I wonder why they'd even think such a thing. I then must remember its a Freudian thing, this is exactly how they'd behave it it was on the other foot.
Everyone's happy, what was his name again, is dead as a nail. That includes the Neo Crybabies, al Queda, insurgents, and the Democrats. Personally, I never heard of the guy until the other day. Well since Bush's al Queda connection to Iraq is terminated I suppose our troops will be coming home soon.
If you truely believe, geez just can't remember his name again, is more significant that bin Laden then you'be been drinking too much O' Really Kool Aid. I certainly hope we don't find out your fearless leader gave 25 M to al Queda for their intelligence information.
In fairness to Peg, this press release did follow an unfair and nasty attack by the Falk campaign:

Thanks for the link. You are right, this is just xoff whoring for Falk. Its sick and its wrong. There is is a big disconnect here between the Dem Party establishment and the Wisconsin voters. See, I'd consider voting for Peg, but never for Falk. But, I am just one of the outliners xoff likes to get rid of in his polling.
If Doyle was smart he would have offered Falk the Lieutenant Governor slot. It is just stupid to put someone against up against a solid pro labor, progressive candidate. Peg is the only Democrat I'd consider voting for at this time.
I could vote for either Peg or Kathleen before either of the wingnuts running in the GOP. I just don't believe Peg can win the general election. The Dem Party "establishment" at the state convention just picked Peg in the straw poll. The question isn't who you'll vote for Nate, it's who can win the election. If Peg wins the primary I'll vote for her, as I did last time. Will you say the same about Falk?
Nate, you would have been among te first to scream bloody murder if Doyle had tried to replace Barbara Lawton with Kathleen Falk for LG. Let's be honest.
I could vote for either Peg or Kathleen as well. However, in terms of viability I am worried about this primary. Obviously Kathleen has to hit hard to beat Peg in a Dem Party primary. And Peg will probably go tit-for-tat (I think to her detriment). If Peg played high road she could paint Kathleen as someone who is ruining the Democrats chances of holding on to the seat.
Here's a question for you: What is Kathleen's future in politics if she does not win both the primary and general election?
Liberal Nate just admitted that he's glad we haven't captured Bin Laden. You America-hating freaks are such liars.
