Plantation Politics

From my buddy Gordo over at DC Spectator;

Hillary "Plantation" Broadside Against
GOP
Smart Politics

I was on campaign time when Hillary dropped the plantation-bomb late last week, so I am playing catch-up.

Sure as the sun rises in the East and the Pope is Catholic, Hillary is the Democrat nominee in 26 months.

I guarantee you that Hillary will not be the Democratic nominee in 2008.

That you would say so either shows your fealty to misguided Conventional Wisdom or a complete and total trust in the CW spouted by the mainstream media you guys on the right so often call liberal. No self-respecting progressive, liberal Democrat in America is going to go about working to get Hillary Clinton elected. If you'd stop getting your info on the Dems from the MSM and try another source, you might realize this. Or it could be that this is the reactionary conservatives dream...a candidate hated by the right (and get arouse lots of great fundraising for them), too divisive in image for the middle, too female for white, working, middle-class Americans, and too unpalatable for the activist and organizer/field operations crowd that will win elections for the Democrats as their power gets harnessed.

Watch Hillary flame out in 2006-2007 as she coasts to victory in the Senate but can't muster the same grassroots fervor that Feingold, Edwards, and Gore will have. These guys will finish in some combo of 1,2, 3 in Iowa (that is unless Vlisack runs), and the same in NH and onto the rest of the primaries.

Peter, after reading your comment calling Lynn Swann a "token black Republican," I'll repeat myself - you're an idiot.
